Outdoor Education Experience

Irons Oaks is the perfect place to bring your students for Outdoor Education in Ilinois. Through the Outdoor Education program your group will experience the best of everything that Irons Oaks has to offer. Click here for a printable brochure.

Environmental Education: Take a close up look at trees, discover what lives in the pond, or enjoy a nature hike. The Environmental Education portion of your day will be filled with hands-on learning in a wonderful outdoor setting. A variety of subjects are offered and will be adjusted to fit the needs of your group. Participants will create a memorable experience as they learn more about the environment we all live in.

Team Building: Whether you are crossing a pit of “poison peanut butter” on PVC piping or working as a team in a classroom you use all the same teamwork techniques. Our trained facilitators will take you through challenges as you use, and relearn, valuable teambuilding skills; and help participants make the connection between what they learn here and everyday life.

Adventure: Each participant will get a chance to climb on our 35ft climbing tower. Whether you are conquering your fear of heights or pushing yourself on a harder route, everyone gets to pick their level of participation and reach for their individual goals.
