Why is a whale a mammal and a shark a fish? Learn how the small differences in animal species place them into distinct groups.
Students will discover characteristics of each group as they classify them into the correct animal class.

Owls and bats are two creatures of the night that are often misunderstood. Students will learn the facts about these animals and what
helps them get through the night. Discover what owls eat by dissecting an owl pellet and understand how bats find their food without light.

Endangered Species: 2nd - 6th: year round
There are plants and animals all over the world becoming endangered, and some of those are in our own backyards. Students will learn why these
animals are in trouble and examples of Illinois animals that need our help. Most importantly, students will discover some simple things they can do to help.
