Birthday Party Registration Information
(2008 Fee Information):
Reservations are required for all programs and are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. All reservations must be made with the Community Programs Coordinator by e-mail: Dee McIntyre or by phone: 708.481.2330 ext. 208.
Programs may be scheduled as early as 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. seven days a week according to staff and party room availability.

Group Size and Fees
Children's Birthday Party programs are $85 for up to 10 participants with an additional $2 per each child up to fifteen total participating children.
This fee includes:
30 minutes for any set-up necessary
1 hour with a staff naturalist leading the program of your choice
1 hour of “Party-time” in one of our available rooms
30 minutes for any clean-up necessary to return the room back to its original condition
Group size may not exceed 15 children per staff member. Of course, you are welcome to have guests who are not participating in the activities and come by for just the party, but please don't exceed 40 people total. Please inform, when booking, the expected number of guests in total.
If you’d like to have more children, then 15 please talk to Community Programs Coordinator to see if an additional staff member is available. There will be an additional cost of $40.
Renters are responsible for any decorating, food and basic clean-up of the room. Failure to return the room to its original condition will result in an additional charge based on staff time needed.
Deposits/Cancellations
All groups require a 50% deposit due three weeks prior to program date. The deposit is fully refundable with a two day notice before the event. A group will lose their deposit if a 72-hour notice is not given and the program is not rescheduled.
* Cancellations made by Irons Oaks due to inclement weather will result in a full refund or re-scheduling. We will do programs in a light drizzle and other mild weather conditions. Inclement weather conditions are heavy rain, lightning, extreme heat or cold. In such a case, our staff will call you as soon as possible, or you may call us at 708-481-2330. Please note that Irons Oaks Offices are NOT open on the weekends.
Dress for the Weather
Please make your guests aware that they will be doing an OUTDOOR program and should dress accordingly. Please were close-toed shoes only. Also, please inform guests that there will be walking to get to the Discovery Center – if there are special needs, please discuss with the Community Programs Coordinator.
