Each week, campers will create at least one craft to take home with them plus they’ll receive a camp t-shirt they will tie dye! Pack a lunch and bring your water bottle (re-usable containers for both, please) daily.

*Additional fee for participation in optional overnight. Receive a 10% discount for each family that signs up for 6 or more sessions!

Dates & Themes
Week 1: June 16 – 20 (Nature Crafts) - Learn to see the natural world in a different way as we explore the wonder of creating from nature. Campers will create projects that utilize Mother Nature to take home or share!

Week 2: June 23 – 27 (Pond) – What would life be like if you lived in a pond? Find out by seeing, touching and exploring our own water wonderland!

Week 3: June 30 – July 4 – A special camp will run this week with very limited registration. Please call Irons Oaks for information and fees: 708.481.2330

Week 4: July 7 – 11 (Outdoor Living Skills I) – Traditionally, our most popular week of camp. We’ll investigate origins, explore usage and learn to practice these skills on our own! (*Scampers & Adventurers will have their, optional, campout Thursday evening for an additional fee of $10.00)

Week 5: July 14 – 18 (Outdoor Living Skills II) – Building upon the previous week, but learning new skills, too! Campers do not need (but are encouraged) to be registered for level I to participate in level II. (*Discoverers & Voyagers will have their, optional, campout Thursday evening for an additional fee of $10.00)

Week 6: July 21 – 25 (Stewardship) – Campers will learn a little about giving back to the park & their communities by undertaking little projects that will make the site look better or more functional - we’ll learn a little about each area we work in, too.

Week 7: July 28 – August 1 (Animals) – Which animal created that track? Who flies over our heads at night? What kind of wildlife do we have in the park? Find out all this and more as we explore mammal wildlife that roams the park or resides in the Midwest.

Week 8: August 4 – 8 (Woodland) – Learn what makes trees so spectacular and what we can do to help them flourish! We’ll have a special treat for each camper to either add to the park or take home with them!
