Irons Oaks is a jointly owned facility of the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District and Olympia Fields Park District. We offer nature-based community programs and events throughout the year. Make sure to regularly review our seasonal programs.
Take some time to hike our trails which are open to the public from dawn to dusk. No fee is required, however, groups of 10 or more need to have a staff member with them. Irons Oaks Programs for Individuals:
Irons Oaks offers Recreational Programs , trips, seasonal camps, summer camps, and more. These programs are also listed in the Homewood-Flossmoor and Olympia Fields Park District Brochures. New programs happen every month, so make sure to check us out often!
Services for Girl Scouts® & Boy Scouts®
Come to Irons Oaks to complete try-its, badges and pins, or work on your outdoor skills. We have programs that are designed specifically for Daisy through Senior Girl Scouts®, Tiger through Eagle for Boy Scouts®, or choose from any of our outdoor skills programs! Are you a Pioneer Guide or with a youth group? We can create program that is specific to your groups needs.
Rest assured that our programs will fit your needs as a troop, pack, or den leader – want something special, just let us know! We can also work with Associations, Service Units and Cub Scout Packs. Please note that the actual badges, pins, etc. are the leaders responsibility and not of Irons Oaks.

Irons Oaks Programs
for Birthday Parties:

We have many unique party programs available at Irons Oaks. All parties have an Irons Oaks staff member leading the program. You also receive 3 hours (30 minutes for set-up, 1 hour of "party-time", 1 hour of a staff-led program, and 30 minutes for clean-up) in one of our rooms! Birthday program participants are responsible for any food and decorations.

We have naturally themed parties, which promote a fun in the outdoors for children ages 3-12. Choose programs like Campfire Cozies, Sensory Exploration, Amazing Animals, Creating from Nature and more! Adventure parties on the climbing tower are available for 3rd graders and up, while the teams course and high-ropes parties are for 6th graders and up.

Parties are available year-round and every day of the week. All reservations must be made through Irons Oaks.
